From F1 Visa to Leadership

Abbie, a Conexus nurse from Vietnam, took the first step to becoming a U.S. RN when she began studying nursing on the F1 Visa at Seattle Central College. Since she graduated and started as a new nurse at a Level III Trauma Center in Tennessee, she has grown into a leadership position as a charge nurse.

Mia | Registered Nurse | Morocco

When Mia came to the United States with her husband and children in 2010, she was determined to earn the necessary credentials to work as a U.S. nurse. Before she found Conexus MedStaff in 2018, she was a nursing student on the F1 visa at Arkansas State University – and before that – a midwife in Morocco.

Like many international nursing students on an F1 visa, Karina was worried about her future as a U.S. nurse after graduating from a U.S.-based university. Karina is originally from Venezuela and had been looking for a job on her OPT that would provide sponsorship.

​Three Conexus RNs recently received Conexus MedStaff’s Education Advancement for Registered Nurses (EARN) Scholarship, a biannual scholarship that supports dedicated healthcare professionals with the opportunity to advance their clinical knowledge, skills or education to further enhance the level and service of care they provide. The recipients – Will Ducusin, Abigael Otis, and Yin Yun Zheng – were celebrated this month within their local communities with colleagues, supervisors and facility staff.

Rodfel | Nurse | Philippines

After researching to determine which nursing agency was best to help him secure a Green Card, he chose to work with nurse recruitment agency, Conexus MedStaff.
