Celebrating Extraordinary Nurses: Conexus MedStaff® Launches The DAISY Award

At Conexus MedStaff, we know the incredible difference our nurses make every day. Their skill, compassion, and dedication transform patient care and now, we’re thrilled to officially recognize their extraordinary contributions with the Conexus DAISY Award. 

The DAISY Award® is an international program established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away at the age of 33 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). Patrick’s family experienced firsthand the impact nurses had during his care, inspiring them to create a program that celebrates exceptional nursing skill, compassion, and dedication. 

Through our partnership with The DAISY Foundation, Conexus will present the award annually to two outstanding nurses. Nominees are chosen based on shared values like excellence in care, collaboration, innovation, and impactful contribution – all qualities that reflect the very best of Conexus nurses. 

Award recipients will be celebrated at a special recognition event, receiving a certificate, a DAISY Award pin, and a hand-carved sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, created by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe.
