We have a fantastic team of people at Conexus MedStaff! Whether we’re working behind the scenes, over the phone or face-to-face with our nurses and medical technologists, we all have one thing in common: we’re passionate about helping international healthcare professionals realize their dream of working and living in the U.S.

In this article, we’d like to introduce you to our Lead Talent Specialist, Jen Jones.

Jen Jones: helping international healthcare professionals make the move to the U.S.

Jen joined the Conexus team in 2017. She lives in England with her husband, daughter Florence, and lots of pets! With experience in recruitment since 2014, she plays an essential role in helping international healthcare professionals realize their dream of creating a new life working in the United States.

What is your role at Conexus?

I am the Lead Talent Specialist. My role is crucial in attracting and guiding international healthcare professionals through the application process. As part of the talent specialist team, we are developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract registered nurses, medical technologists and international nursing students in the U.S. to join Conexus MedStaff.

What attracted you to Conexus and what are you most looking forward to in your role?

A smaller, family-run business like Conexus MedStaff offered an experience that attracted me. Seeing healthcare professionals achieve their dreams and knowing that I played a part in their success is personally fulfilling. Being part of a fast-growing company like Conexus offers exciting opportunities for personal and professional growth and I'm proud to be part of it.

Which Conexus value (passion, integrity, care and support, family, growth, gratitude) resonates most with you and why?

Family! This value emphasizes the importance of supporting one another through both professional and personal challenges. Whether it's celebrating success, offering encouragement, or lending a helping hand during difficult times, team members at Conexus strive to be there for each other like a family.

What is your favorite memory from working at Conexus?

Traveling to the UAE for a recruitment drive, and meeting our healthcare professionals from different backgrounds and cultures has to be one of my favorite memories, along with facing my fear of heights and going to the top of the Burj Khalifa with Cynthia and Benjie. I love you guys!

What has been your most meaningful accomplishment so far?

Starting a family. ❤️

What is a cause that you are passionate about?

Good outdoor education for children. I believe outdoor education offers numerous benefits for children, including physical health, mental well-being and overall development. This has been a passion of mine since seeing how well my nephew developed in an educational setting focused around hands-on learning. Particularly beneficial for neurodiverse children.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I can drive a tractor, and I have many pets – a cat (Misty), two pigs (Wilma and George), and three goats (Big Lad, Nancy, and Lola). I’m sure I was a farmer in a past life!

What is your dream vacation?

Taking my daughter, Florence, to Disney in Florida. I have very fond memories of Disney as a child and I would love for Florence to have the same.

What types of books or movies do you enjoy?

Disney all day long!
