In this article, we’d like to introduce you to one of our HCP Experience Coordinators, Katherine Celeste.

Katherine, also known as Kate, is based in the Philippines. As part of our HCP Experience team, she is committed to helping international registered nurses and medical technologists to start a new life in the U.S., working in a job they’ll love.
What is your role at Conexus?
I am an HCP Experience Coordinator, and I support healthcare professionals throughout their journey from their initial contract until their deployment in the U.S. by answering all their queries and guiding them during the entire process.
What did you do before joining Conexus?
Before joining Conexus, I was an Account Associate (Junior Account Manager) for an employee benefits administration outsourcing company. I helped the client services team and service operations teams keep track of their deliverables, maintain project plans, and communicate effectively to make sure that we provide outstanding service to our U.S.-based clients.
What attracted you to Conexus and what are you most looking forward to in your role?
Since the global pandemic happened, I have been used to working mostly by myself and staying indoors. As an HCP Experience Coordinator, I look forward to connecting more with people - our healthcare professionals, helping them and making sure that they feel guided every step of the way. Also, when I found out that I would be working and collaborating with people residing in different parts of the world, I got even more excited.
Tell us about your life outside of work.
Outside work, I spend time with my 2-year-old baby girl Callie. She loves singing and dancing and I try so hard to match her enthusiasm every day! My husband and I have been serving at a church near us for more than a decade now. This is something that we both enjoy and are grateful for as we are able to give back with our time and talents.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
My husband and I once went to Disneyland and Ocean Park in Hongkong and we enjoyed the time and fun spent there. In a year or two, I'll bring my toddler there because she adores Mickey Mouse!

What is your dream vacation?
I used to love island hopping and spontaneous trips to the beach and theme parks but since I've become a mom, spending a couple of hours in a relaxing spa is a more rewarding treat - one that I look forward to every week if only time permits!
What is your favorite quote or motto?
"When the going gets tough, the tough gets going."
Whenever I feel down or on the verge of giving up, I always think about this quote and somehow I find some more strength in me to keep going and working towards achieving my goals.
What types of books or movies do you enjoy?
Since then, I have always enjoyed reading self-help books. Reading them is like a breath of fresh air, they give me a whole new perspective every time and I feel more compelled to better myself.
