We have a fantastic team of people at Conexus MedStaff! Whether we’re working behind the scenes, over the phone or face-to-face with our nurses and medical technologists, we all have one thing in common: we’re passionate about helping international healthcare professionals realize their dream of working and living in the U.S.

In this article, we’d like to introduce you to our HCP Experience Coordinator, Jo Eastwick.

Jo joined the Conexus MedStaff team in 2023. She’s based in Nottinghamshire, England, and lives close to the infamous Sherwood Forest, home of legendary British folklore hero Robin Hood. The ability to help healthcare professionals (HCPs) achieve their goal of living in the U.S. is what drew her to working with Conexus MedStaff.

What is your role at Conexus MedStaff?

As an HCP Experience Coordinator, my role is to support our healthcare professionals on their journey, from signing their contract until they arrive in the U.S. This includes arranging touchpoint calls and helping with any questions or issues they may have along the way.

What attracted you to Conexus MedStaff and what are you most looking forward to in your role?

I felt like I needed a new challenge! I saw the advert for Conexus MedStaff and thought I would apply even though I was convinced I would not get it. It looked like my dream job – looking after people, organizing and also traveling. After the first interview, I realized I loved the ethics of the company and the people within it. The second interview made me love the company and people. When I was offered the position, it was a no-brainer.

What did you do before joining Conexus MedStaff?

I worked at an online training company in the UK where we provided mandatory training within healthcare. I was based within the sales department, where I was responsible for generating new business while also managing accounts once they were on board for the duration of their contract.

What is your favorite season or holiday?

I have a real appreciation for spring, which happens to be my favorite season. After the chilly, gloomy winter, it's refreshing to see the wildlife and flowers appear. The days grow longer and the weather warms up.

Tell us about your life outside of work.

I enjoy anything outdoors - walking, gardening, riding my bike. My garden is my favorite place to be. I also enjoy DIY (do it yourself) projects, making useful things around the house, and decorating. I live with my boyfriend and near to my friends and family, so I like to go out and see them often too. My aim this year is to start seeing the world a bit more – traveling to the U.S. to visit the Conexus MedStaff office in Houston, Texas was an amazing experience and first step!

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I studied the Japanese language in school for five years. Unfortunately, I can no longer speak it but can sometimes read the basics… it was a long time ago!

What is your dream vacation?

To visit an elephant sanctuary in Thailand or Indonesia. This year, I got to meet an elephant at a zoo in the UK but I would love to visit them at a sanctuary where they are free to roam.
