I am so grateful that this week, on behalf of Conexus MedStaff, I had the distinguished opportunity to attend the Meeting of the Department of Migrant Workers with Top Employers/Recruiters of Filipino Workers in the United States. This event included a meet and greet opportunity with Secretary Maria Susana V. Ople. During this time, I was able to hear directly from Madame Secretary on important topics including the meaningful work the Department of Migrant Workers does to ensure the rights and safety of Filipinos and their work in Sudan. We were able to share the opportunities that are available for Filipino healthcare professionals currently and in the coming years in U.S. healthcare facilities, and how having more visas available for these professionals provide them with significant opportunities.

As part of these meet and greets, I also was privileged and honored to meet Philippine President, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. Throughout these meetings, the significance of the Philippines family, their education and experience, their wellbeing and continued professional growth were emphasized. What an inspiring opportunity to hear firsthand how President Marcos’s vision aligns with the core values of Conexus MedStaff.

Many thanks to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr, Secretary Maria Susana V. Ople, the Department of Migrant Workers, all our Filipino Healthcare Professionals, their families, and the entire Philippines community.
