My Expertise
I’ve been working in healthcare for over 30 years, starting as a Registered Nurse after gaining my diploma and Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONL).
I moved into healthcare staffing, which is my key area of expertise today. I have experience in crisis and MSP/VMS staffing and have recruited healthcare professionals working on a per diem, contract and direct-hire basis.
Why Conexus?
I really connected with the core values of Conexus. As a nurse, I wanted to promote nursing and encourage more people to enter the profession. I know that recruiting international nurses is a great solution to help healthcare organizations in the US with the current nursing shortage.
I also find the background of the Conexus team members amazing. Their diversity and real-life experiences coming to the U.S. mean they truly understand the journey of our nurses. We stay with the nurse and their families before they come to the US and throughout their assignment.

Benjie Jalasco, Clinical Nurse, Business Support Manager
My Expertise
I have 20 years of nursing experience, having completed a Master of Arts in Nursing with a Major in Medical and Surgical Nursing. I started my career working in a government hospital in the Philippines as an MS/ER/OR nurse while at the same time as working part-time as a Clinical Instructor. I went on to work in KSA for five years as a Nursing Supervisor, a member of the recruitment team to the Philippines, and an implementor of nursing and patient safety standards.
At Conexus, I evaluate nurses’ CVs and conduct clinical interviews to validate their expertise and ensure they meet the required qualifications. I help to maintain relationships with Conexus partners in the Philippines and Asia, as well as coordinating and collaborating with our marketing department.

I have a genuine goal of helping international nurses make their dream of living and working in the U.S. a reality. Immediately after communicating with Conexus, I knew this was a team I wanted to join.
Establishing the market in the Philippines has been challenging, but with the passion and support of my colleagues, I’ve been able to contribute to the company’s growth in this area. We treat our nurses as partners and ensure no one is left out. There’s no better feeling than seeing a nurse that I’ve interviewed go on to work in the U.S. and lead a happy life there.

Outside Of Work, You’ll Find Me…
Traveling, both locally and internationally. I’m definitely a beach person! I also play badminton and am a huge fan of volleyball.
