Application & Assessment

Once you've applied, you'll meet your Experience Coordinator, who'll guide you throughout your journey to the U.S.

Document collection and clinical assessment

We'll help you gather the documents needed to file your immigration petition. You'll also undertake short clinical assessment to determine your experience, helping us tailor your support.

Visa & Immigration

Once we have all your documents, we'll file your I-140 immigration petition. At this point, we'll capture your priority date.

Education

While your immigration petition is processing, our education team will assess your strengths and provide you with a personalised learning plan based on your career aspirations.

Client assignment

Our Selection Advisors will guide you through your assignment options, working closely with you to ensure you're assigned to a client location that meets your personal and professional goals.

Client offer

Once you receive an offer, we will begin to put deployment plans in place.

Once your assignment is confirmed, our Licensing and Credentialing specialists will endorse your licenses to ensure you comply with all credentialing requirements.

Embassy interview

One of the final stages of your immigration process is a U.S. Embassy interview, which we will fully prepare you for. Following your successful interview, your new visa will be approved and issued.

Deployment and relocation

Our Relocation Team will arrange your travel and accommodation in the U.S. in readiness for deployment.

What are the requirements for international nurses to work in the U.S.?

Registered nurse requirements – NCLEX-RN passer

If you’ve passed the NCLEX-RN, you need to be currently working in an inpatient role, or willing to return to an inpatient role within 90 days of signing a contract with us.

Registered nurse requirements – NCLEX-RN Sponsorship

If you don’t currently have your NCLEX-RN, you need to be currently working in an inpatient role, with at least 3 months of experience. You also need to hold a bachelor’s degree and have graduated in the last 10 years.

Note: At this time, we’re unable to help nurses who’ve previously taken and failed the NCLEX-RN exam.

Do international nurses have to pay any recruitment or placement fees?

No. You don’t pay any recruitment fees to us. There are no upfront costs. Nor do we take any money from paychecks once you’re working in your placement.

What U.S. visa will Conexus sponsor for my nursing career?

Our U.S. visa sponsorship opportunities are available to international registered nurses and international medical technologists. We sponsor the EB3 green card visa for all healthcare professionals - a permanent residency visa that allows you to live and work in the U.S. permanently.

Can I live and work in the U.S. while my visa is processing?

To live and work in the U.S., you must have an approved and issued visa that allows lawful residency and work authorization. If you’re an international healthcare professional living outside of the U.S. at the time of your sponsorship with Conexus, you’ll be able to live and work in the U.S. once your green card is approved and issued.

Can my spouse work on the green card?

Yes, you can bring your spouse and children up to age 21 on an EB-3 green card visa. Both your spouse and children will be added as dependents to your visa and granted permanent residency.

How long does it take for an international nurse to relocate to the U.S?

Processing times can vary for each person because every journey is different. There are so many factors to take into consideration when you embark on your U.S. journey, which is why our team of experts is here to guide you each step of the way, from immigration to licensing, deployment, and beyond.
