Conexus MedStaff has been recognized with an honorable mention in this year’s American Staffing Association Care Awards for its Conexus Connects initiative. This biennial award, hosted by the American Staffing Association (ASA), recognizes outstanding social responsibility initiatives within the staffing and recruiting industry.
Moving to a new country can be an overwhelming process for international healthcare professionals. In addition to the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and way of life, they must also navigate differences within the U.S. healthcare system. With this overarching theme, Conexus Connects strives to help our employees establish and connect with a support system while celebrating and giving back to the U.S. communities served, as well as the communities that many of our healthcare professionals fondly call home. For example, this year we partnered with the Elijeko Foundation and National Blood Service in Ghana to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training free of cost for current and aspiring healthcare professionals.
While it is a priority to support organizations that focus on the health and well-being of individuals, we also empower each of our team members to give back to their community in a way that is valuable to them. Conexus MedStaff’s Community Giving Day initiative encourages employees to volunteer in their local community with a cause special to them. Our CEO Andrew Moreton recently completed the UK's national Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest peaks of England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours, to raise money for the Melanoma Fund - a charity he is passionate about.
