Our Conexus Live recruitment events for international healthcare professionals take place regularly in cities across the world. They provide registered nurses and medical technologists with the opportunity to discover the potential of an exciting new career working in the United States, with guidance from our experts. Read on to learn more about our recruitment events – including how to get a contract to start your new life in the U.S.!

Where are Conexus Live events held?

You’ll find details of our upcoming events, including how to register, here: https://join.conexusmedstaff.com/conexusliveevents

If you don’t see an event scheduled that’s close to you, you can sign up for an email alert so you’ll be amongst the first to know when we’re coming to a city near you.

We also announce events via our social media channels. Follow us to get more information on upcoming events, as well as helpful articles, Conexus community stories and more.

Which session do I choose?

We generally offer several sessions in a day to try and accommodate as many people as possible. You can register for the time that suits you best.

Online registration closes 24 hours before the event. We do encourage you to register online, however it is possible to register on the day at the event.

Please note that sessions will be for either registered nurses or medical technologists, so make sure to choose one that is relevant to your specialty. This split is necessary because the immigration route is somewhat different for international registered nurses and medical technologists. The information shared in a session dedicated to medical technologists may not be relevant to registered nurses, and vice versa.

If you’re unable to attend or don’t see a session scheduled for your specialty, sign up for an email alert for future events and we’ll let you know next time we’re in a city near you.

What happens at Conexus Live events?

A typical session will include three components:

  • A presentation delivered by our international recruitment experts

  • An open question and answer session

  • Interviews, after which qualified healthcare professionals may be offered a contract to start their journey to work in the U.S.

Each session will last for a couple of hours. Light refreshments will usually be available.

How do I get a contract with Conexus MedStaff?

After an interview with our recruitment experts, qualified registered nurses and medical technologists who meet our requirements may be offered a contract.

For registered nurses, the requirements are:

  • If you already passed the NCLEX-RN you need to be currently working in an inpatient role, or willing to return to an inpatient role within 90 days of signing a contract with us.

  • If you don't have the NCLEX-RN, you need to be currently working in an inpatient role with at least 3 months of experience. You also need to hold a Bachelor's degree and have graduated in the last 10 years. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to help nurses who have previously taken and failed the NCLEX exam.

For medical technologists, the requirements are:

  • You must be currently working in a lab as a generalist in a Tertiary or Secondary facility, and you must have completed a 4-year Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, biological science, chemistry, microbiology, or biochemistry. You will need to have ASCPi certification.

What do I do if I’m not offered a contract?

Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that you will be offered a contract with Conexus MedStaff. Our recruitment experts may be able to provide you with advice on how you can change your circumstances to improve your chances of being offered a contract to work in the U.S. with us.

Can I bring someone with me to a Conexus Live event?

If you have friends who are registered nurses or medical technologists, feel free to bring them along. You can also bring your spouse, so that they can learn more about the process of moving to and working in the U.S. They can either register in advance or on the day at the event. Making the move to the U.S. with a friend or loved one can make the experience even more exciting!
