We are proud of our Conexus nurses and their dedication to providing excellent care as well as their compassion for supporting their communities. We have had many Conexus RNs recognized by patients, leaders and peers within their facilities and units.

A recognition we are excited to highlight today is our nurse Anne Charelotte Ting, who recently received The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The DAISY Award is a highly regarded recognition, awarded to nurses that display exemplary compassion and care for patients and their family members.

We spoke to Anne Charelotte, a med-surg RN originally from the Philippines, to learn what the award means to her.

In her own words, Anne Charelotte shares that winning The DAISY Award “feels like a dream come true. I feel overwhelmed with this recognition as it reaffirms my decision [to work in the U.S.] and shows that I am helping my patients.”

Anne Charelotte dreamed of working as a nurse in the U.S. since she was a little girl, though her journey wasn’t easy. While she shared that the first two months of adjustment to her new community were the hardest, as she missed home, she shares that it was all worth it, especially after receiving this prestigious honor.

“I was worried people around me would not recognize me for my work or passion to help patients – that they would just see me as an international nurse, but they now see my work and value me as a colleague.”

Anne Charelotte’s nurse manager describes her as caring and compassionate and states that she always has a positive attitude and displays teamwork among the department. She even commends Anne Charelotte for her excellent patient care, having been recognized by name 38 different times by patients.

Her clinical nurse educator at her facility adds, “Anne is not only a skilled clinician but also a team player who takes the initiative to collaborate with her colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Her willingness to take on additional responsibilities and her proactive approach to problem-solving have been an asset on our unit.”

Congratulations, Anne Charelotte! We are honored to have you as part of our Conexus community and are thankful for your compassion, hard work, and dedication.
