Meet Lucy Lea, International Recruiter

For seven years, Lucy Lea has been the very first point of connection between Conexus MedStaff and countless international nurses and medical technologists. As a Recruitera Recruiter, Lucy guides healthcare professionals (HCPs) through their earliest steps on the path to a new life and career in the United States.

From the very first conversation, Lucy focuses on building trust. Before every interview, she reviews each candidate’s resume in depth to understand their clinical experience, education, and career goals. This helps her create a warm, informed, and meaningful first interaction.

“My goal is to make sure each HCP feels informed and confident,” Lucy explains. “This is a life-changing decision, and they deserve all the clarity and support they need to make the best choice for themselves.”

Candidates often come to Lucy with questions about immigration timelines, deployment locations, or the transition to working and living in a new culture. Lucy takes time to break the process down step-by-step, providing honest and transparent information, never rushing and never glossing over challenges.

She understands the emotional side of the journey, too. “I remind myself how overwhelming it must feel. They’re not just choosing a job, they’re choosing a whole new chapter of life.”

Lucy finds meaning in supporting those who may be anxious or unsure, always reminding candidates that they won’t walk this path alone. She works closely with multiple internal teams, coordinating documents, answering questions, tracking progress, and solving problems before candidates even notice them.
