Conexus MedStaff (Conexus) is a recruitment company focused providing International Healthcare Professionals to hospital clients in the United States. As part of this, Conexus specializes in recruiting candidates that will be sponsored by Conexus to obtain their green card permanent residency visa for the United States. Each candidate will then be placed by Conexus into a hospital in the United States for their first assignment which typically lasts for 2.5 years.
Conexus has offices located in Houston, TX, Lexington, KY & Charlotte, NC in the United States with the Houston office being the back office for Recruitment, Immigration & Finance. Conexus also has offices in the Philippines and the United Kingdom that help provide a full recruitment, immigration and operational support service to successful candidates.
Currently Conexus has access to over 90 hospitals that are located in more than 20 States across America and this number is growing. Through these client contracts Conexus has a significant demand for Registered Nurses and a growing need for Allied Health professionals as well as Primary Care Physicians.
North American Recruitment:
Until 18 months ago Conexus focused on providing International Healthcare Professionals that were located overseas to their first hospital assignment in the United States but, in 2017 Conexus started to place International Healthcare Graduates that have studied in the United States in to their first clinical assignment in America. As part of doing their studies in the United States each individual is entitled to an OPT visa which enables them to work for 12 – 24 months in America depending on their area of study.
In addition to recruiting International Healthcare Graduates that have completed their studies in the United States, Conexus has also targeted the Canadian market over the last couple of years due to the ability to obtain a TN working visas for Canadian citizens and mobilize these candidates down to the United States within a few weeks.
Since starting these areas of recruitment we have seen tremendous success and as such we are looking to hire a Senior Recruiter to be based in our Houston office to handle the recruitment work for Conexus within North America.
Conexus presently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Recruiter to join the Houston, TX recruitment team. As Conexus is assisting candidates that for the most part are being placed into their first clinical assignment in the United States we are looking for a Senior Recruiter that has experience of working in the healthcare sector as well as working with graduates. The successful candidate should be used to conducting behavioral and clinical interviews with candidates and should be used to attending career fairs and meet and greet recruitment drives either on their own or part of a small team.
The successful candidate should be used to giving presentations to small and large groups of candidates and as such should be an excellent public speaker. The successful candidate will be required to either have knowledge of the immigration process or be willing to gain knowledge of the immigration process as this will be an integral part of the information that will need to be explained to candidates.
The successful candidate should also be a self-starter and be willing to evolve with the company as Conexus moves into new service lines. One of the areas for expansion in 2018/19 will be the recruitment of International Physicians that are completing their residency or fellowship in the United States that might be interested in the J-1 visa waiver programme.

- Strong communication skills with ability to present to small and large groups
- Strong marketing and sales skills
- 10 years of overall recruitment experience with 5 years of healthcare recruitment experience
- Ability to travel to Universities within the United States as well as to Career Fairs and Meet & Greet Recruitment Drives in Canada
- Strong time management skills
Base salary is competitive. In addition to base salary successful candidate will be eligible to take part in company bonus scheme
