Introducing Vicki Devonside, International Recruiter
By Jessica Hall - Posted Dec 19, 2025

For more than two decades, Vicki Devonside has built her recruitment career on understanding people; who they are, what motivates them, and how best to support them. For the past two and a half years at Conexus MedStaff, she has brought that same personal, compassionate approach to helping international nurses and medical technologists take their first steps toward the U.S.
Vicki knows that for many candidates, this is their first ever interview with a U.S. employer, so she focuses on creating a comfortable, conversational experience.
“I treat every candidate as an individual. Getting to know their story helps me understand how best we can support their American Dream.”
Her role includes explaining Conexus MedStaff’s many benefits, immigration process, deployment expectations, and long-term support so each HCP can make an informed decision. She believes in transparency, even when the truth may not be what a candidate hopes to hear.
Candidates often ask about immigration timelines, family visas, and what life in the U.S. will look like. Vicki answers with honesty and patience, ensuring that no one feels rushed or dismissed. “We’re open, realistic, and here to guide them. Giving honest answers builds trust, and trust is everything.”
Behind the scenes, Vicki and the recruitment team stay up to date on immigration changes, Conexus policies, and evolving deployment needs. This ensures the information they share is always accurate and relevant to each candidate’s situation.
Above all, Vicki wants candidates to feel at ease. “We’re human beings just like you. There’s no need to be nervous, we’re here to help, guide, and make sure you leave the interview with every answer you need.”
