Bringing Digital Healthcare to Rural Nepal: Our Partnership with Nyaya Health
By Conexus MedStaff - Posted Dec 5, 2025

At Conexus MedStaff, we believe that strong healthcare systems create stronger communities, both here in the U.S. and around the world. That belief is at the heart of our new global impact partnership with Nyaya Health Nepal (NHN), an organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality care in some of Nepal’s most underserved communities.
NHN is a non-profit organization focused on improving healthcare access for rural populations in Nepal. Working closely with the Ministry of Health and local authorities, NHN builds integrated care systems and provides free services to communities that often face barriers to care.
Through this partnership, Conexus MedStaff is supporting enhancements to NHN’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system at Dailekh District Hospital in Karnali Province, which serves more than 23,000 patients each year. The upgraded system will allow clinicians to access complete patient histories instantly, leading to more accurate diagnoses, safer treatment plans, and better continuity of care.
Supporting Healthcare Teams
The project also focuses on strengthening the skills of hospital staff. Fifty healthcare and administrative staff will receive training in digital literacy and EHR use, with ongoing technical support to ensure the system is effective and sustainable. The initiative is aligned with local health authorities and Nepal’s national digital health strategies, ensuring the benefits extend beyond a single facility.
A Model for Rural Health Transformation
As one of the first district-level EHR implementations in Karnali Province, this project provides a scalable model for other rural hospitals in Nepal. Improved data capture and reporting will support disease surveillance, resource planning, and evidence-based decision-making at the district level. This contributes directly to more resilient, equitable healthcare systems.
Our Shared Commitment
“At Conexus we believe in supporting initiatives that have tangible and widespread impact, strengthening healthcare systems. Our partnership with Nyaya Health Nepal reflects our commitment to advancing equity and improving health outcomes in underserved communities globally, especially those that represent our healthcare professionals,” said Andrew Moreton, CEO of Conexus MedStaff.
“Nyaya Health Nepal, in partnership with Conexus MedStaff, is committed to addressing the health needs of underserved communities and building the capacity of frontline healthcare workers in rural Nepal,” said Srijana Devkota, Director of Program and Partnerships, Nyaya Health Nepal.
Looking Ahead
This partnership is a step toward improving access to high-quality healthcare for rural communities in Nepal. By combining digital innovation with training and support for healthcare professionals, Conexus MedStaff and NHN are helping build stronger, more resilient health systems and healthier communities for the future.
