Two Conexus RNs – Bianca Rodrigues Da Crus and Lovely Subeldia – recently received Conexus MedStaff’s Education Advancement for Registered Nurses (EARN) Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded biannually to eligible Conexus nurses, allowing dedicated healthcare professionals the opportunity to advance their clinical knowledge, skills, or education to further enhance the level and service of care provided to their community. They were recently celebrated in their local communities with colleagues, supervisors and facility staff.

Bianca Rodrigues Da Crus, originally from Brazil, has a goal of continuing her studies to become a nurse practitioner (NP). She shares that the financial help of the EARN Scholarship will help her expand upon her nursing career and further her knowledge to better serve her patients and community.

Inspired by her grandmother, who was also a nurse, Bianca learned at an early age just how rewarding the nursing profession can be. In her own words, “My grandma is the most compassionate and caring person I have ever known. She inspired me and I have no regrets in choosing the same path as I love caring for people.”

Bianca’s supervisors and peers describe her as compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and supportive.

On behalf of Bianca’s charge nurse who she has worked with for 2 years, she states that “one of Bianca’s most impressive qualities is her willingness to go above and beyond for her patients – always looking for ways to provide the highest levels of care possible and frequently takes on additional responsibilities to ensure that her patients receive the best possible outcomes.”

Lovely Subeldia, originally from the Philippines and a recent DAISY Award recipient, plans to become a certified Medical Surgical nurse. In her own words, “My passion is to take good care of my patients and help them in their every need. Achieving this certification will help increase my knowledge and nursing skills to care for my patients. My goal is to be more effective and confident in every nursing area.”

Lovely has received accolades from her managers, colleagues, and patients for her kindness, intelligence, dedication, positive attitude, and professionalism.

Her nurse manager adds that Lovely “supports her teammates whenever they need help by being a team player, leader, and role model – always available to jump in and help with any patient care or questions, knowing that when she is on the unit, they have no worries about their patients.”

We are thrilled to support Bianca and Lovely as they achieve their goals and continue with Conexus and beyond. The next EARN Scholarship will be awarded in October 2023. Eligible Conexus healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply here.
