The desire to serve others and make a difference in their lives is an attribute shared by nurses across the world, and the drive for growth is what motivates many international nurses to pursue nursing careers in the USA.
Charlotte, a Conexus nurse from the Philippines, became a nurse because she wanted to make a difference in patients’ lives.
“It’s my passion. I always wanted to take care of the sick and to help others out,” she said.
When she heard about Conexus from a friend, she began the process of making her American dream a reality.
“She told me good things about Conexus, so I joined,” Charlotte said.
After waiting two years to get to the U.S., Charlotte finally started working as an international nurse in the USA earlier this year. A team of in-house immigration experts at Conexus helped her through the process, and now she’s settling into her new home and career as a U.S. nurse with a community of other Conexus healthcare professionals by her side. '
“It feels good because this is my dream, and finally Conexus was able to help me to be in this country,” she said. “I wanted to thank Conexus for not giving up on us – for helping us pursue our dreams in the U.S.”
