As part of your sponsorship with Conexus MedStaff, you have access to a dedicated English language program at no cost to you. This support is designed specifically for healthcare professionals and is built into your journey from the start. 

Why English is a key part of your journey 

English language proficiency is a formal requirement for the VisaScreen certificate, which is a necessary stage in the U.S. healthcare visa process. Without a recognized English test score, your application cannot move forward. This makes English preparation one of the most important things to focus on early. 

Beyond the visa process, strong English skills will help you settle into life and work in the United States. Clear communication with patients, coworkers and healthcare teams is essential in any clinical setting, and feeling confident in the language will support you both professionally and personally from day one. 

What the program includes 

Your English preparation is fully covered as part of your Conexus sponsorship package. The program includes: 

• An assessment at the start, so your preparation is tailored to your current level 

• A structured preparation course covering listening, speaking, reading and writing 

• Group classes and one-to-one coaching sessions, scheduled around your availability 

• Practice tests, regular feedback and progress tracking throughout 

• Exam registration fees covered for either IELTS or PTE 

IELTS and PTE: your two options 

You will prepare for either IELTS or PTE Academic. Both are widely accepted for VisaScreen and U.S. healthcare credentialing, and our English team will help you choose the right one for your situation. 

IELTS is managed by the British Council, IDP and Cambridge English, and is accepted by more than 12,500 organizations worldwide. PTE Academic is administered by Pearson Education and is a fully computer-based exam, with typing skills support included in your preparation course.
