If you are a nurse from the Philippines and would like to apply to work in the USA, we will need to help you apply for an EB-3 Visa.
The EB-3 visa is our preferred choice of visa for international nurses looking to make the move to the USA. The EB-3 visa provides you with USA residency with no expiry date. Another real benefit of the EB-3 visa is that there is the option for your dependents to also be sponsored, meaning they can join you in the USA.
To be eligible for the EB-3 you must be either a skilled worker or a professional. A skilled work must have trained for at least two years to enable them to do their job to a high standard. A professional means that you have the equivalent to a US baccalaureate degree and hold membership of a professional organization.
Besides the relevant qualifications, you will also need to be able to provide the following documents in order to apply for a green card EB-3 visa:
IELTS (The IELTS will be required if your studies have not been conducted in an English speaking country)
Employment Offer Letter from the hospital that you will be placed in.
As well as sponsoring new candidates on an EB-3 visa, Conexus can also help candidates who are looking for a change of sponsorship. In these cases, we will implement a premium processing visa application, which will get your to the USA quicker than expected.
The processing times for an EB-3 visa are approximately 9-12 months through a change of sponsorship, or an estimated 30 months with a new visa application. This may seem like a long time, but trust us, your dream of living and working in the USA will come around a lot faster than you think!
Stay up to date with the Visa Bulletin for the US Department of State to keep up to date on the processing times, or keep an eye on our Facebook for the latest visa information.
